SVN
Japan's Missions
Mission
1 : To create a society where every citizen tries to solve local
problems
We aim to create a society where each individual is independent,
lives freely and cooperates with others. The society's value
is not only money. We aim to realize a new economy and markets
Economy has been polluting the Earth and markets have broken
down communities.
Discarding such old paradigm, we try to create a new economy
through businesses, that is, an economy which is sustainable,
friendly to the Earth, and where market activities will contribute
to create better communities
Mission
2 : To bring up young social entrepreneurs in Asia
Asia
has not only the rich nature environment but various values
in communities.
A new competitive economy can be created by connecting the values
to businesses.
Young entrepreneurs in Asia with new paradigm will play an essential
role to realize it
The
third SVN Asia Conference
[Theme]
"Innovation in New Paradigm from Youth -Expectation
and Potential of Community Businesses-"
The theme of the third SVN Asia Conference run by SVN Japan
is: "Innovation in New Paradigm from Youth -Expectation
and Potential of Community Businesses-".
Community businesses are businesses to solve local problems.
They are not voluntary jobs but make profits to cover necessary
and personal costs.
We believe that community businesses should be run by local
citizens, not by the government or big companies. Citizens
should be motivated and have responsibilities to solve local
problems and that paradigm is necessary today in Asia. We
hope to spread these community businesses to Asia. Run by
mainly young people, SVN Asia Conference in Japan is to
be a place where youths and social entrepreneurs gather
from various Asian countries and discuss so that they lead
to sustainable businesses in the future.
In the conference, we focus on systems to support community
businesses such as community funds, community trades and
business incubation. Also we pick up business cases of local
welfare and ones run by youths.
